Originating from South-West Sydney, Antonamasia is a four piece female-fronted metal band that combines meticulous rhythms, intricate riffs, hard-hitting vocals and vivid lyrics to craft a nuanced and distinct heavy sound. Unapologetically emotive in their approach, Antonamasia explore the full spectrum of the human experience; capturing it’s beauty and it’s turbulence within their writing and high-intensity live performances.

Shortly after wrapping production on their 2006 debut Keeping Nothing, Antonamasia signed with esteemed metal/hard rock label Faultline Records, helmed by 2-time ARIA nominated producer DW Norton (Superheist, Daysend, Alchemist). A proud release for the band, Keeping Nothing entered the radio waves with rotation on mutliple statiions across the world and featured in iconic publications including Drum Media, The Music and Blunt Magazine. In some of their foundational moments, Antonamasia earned supporting spots for 10 Years (USA), Leaves Eyes (Germany) and I Killed The Prom Queen, and a prestigious spot for the last ever Metal for the Brain festival. Years after their first emergence, Antonamasia co-produced their first-ever music video Kinesis with acclaimed director Chris Elder (of Haus Party) that was released to a sold out room at Sydney's Factory Theatre.

In the huge year behind them, Antonamasia's sound reached a new era in 2023 as a powerful 4-piece, and have hit the ground running ever since with a busy live show roster, writing new music and are currently in preproduction for new EP Flow State, marked for release in 2025.
